Mass protests against Fico's government in Slovakia: Footage
Mass protests against the policy of Prime Minister Robert Fico's government began on the evening of Friday, January 24, in more than 20 cities across Slovakia. The slogan of the protesters is Slovakia is Europe, Aktuality informs.
Protests against Fico's government in Slovakia are organized by the Peace for Ukraine initiative and opposition political parties. Protests are also reported in Poland, Germany, Czechia, and Ireland.
Law enforcement authorities have taken security measures to ensure the peaceful and safe conduct of the rallies. The police have urged participants to respect the instructions and requests of officers on-site and to be considerate of others during public gatherings.

In most Slovak cities, several thousand people took to the streets to protest. In particular, in Kosice, the second largest city in the country, about 15,000 people took to the streets.
In some cities, counter-demonstrations were announced under the Slovakia is not Ukraine slogan. In Bratislava, about 40 people attended such an event.
Earlier, the Slovak opposition proposed convening an extraordinary parliamentary session to discuss a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Robert Fico's government.
