American dietitian Amy mentioned that mandarins combined with chocolate taste incredibly delicious. Making such a dessert is quite easy, especially since it's currently mandarin season.

She noted that she added pistachios for a slight crunch. She also recommends using 60% dark chocolate, as it's not too bitter.

The list of ingridients

To prepare chocolate-covered mandarins, perfect for a festive table, you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup of 60% dark chocolate
  • 4 mandarins, segmented
  • 1/4 cup of shelled unsalted pistachios, finely chopped
  • half a teaspoon of coconut oil

Easy way to cook

First, you need to properly melt the chocolate. Fill the bottom of a medium-sized saucepan about one-third full with water and bring it to a boil.

After that, reduce the heat to a minimum, then place a large heatproof bowl on top. Put the dark chocolate and coconut oil in it. Stir occasionally until the chocolate melts.

Next, peel the mandarins and chop the pistachios. Dip the mandarins halfway into the chocolate. Sprinkle with pistachios before the chocolate hardens. It's worth doing this quickly.

You can put the dessert in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to help the chocolate set faster. Eat and enjoy!
