On the afternoon of Thursday, August 14, it was loud once again in Russia’s Belgorod. Local residents reported a drone attack, Telegram channels report.

Reports say gunfire could be heard in the city center - mobile teams were trying to shoot down drones with automatic weapons.

According to a Telegram channel, since Thursday morning, at least 30 drones have been shot down over Belgorod. The strikes include Darts drones and FPV UAVs.

Earlier, the region’s governor, Gladkov, urged residents to spend as little time outside as possible.

Due to the threat of attacks, government institutions have switched to remote work, shopping malls have closed, and outdoor events have been canceled until Sunday.

Attacks on Russia’s Belgorod region

This morning, August 14, a strike drone attacked the government building of Russia’s Belgorod region. The facade and windows of a multi-story administrative building were damaged.

On the evening of July 16, it was also loud in Belgorod due to unknown drones. At that time, reports said there were both dead and injured among local residents.

On July 4, drones struck a chemical plant in the city of Shebekino, Belgorod region. A massive fire broke out at the site of the hit.

Earlier still, drones attacked Belgorod’s city hall. The building sustained damage, and government employees were injured.
