Queen of Pop Madonna is again in Guinness World Records
Renowned American 65-year-old pop diva Madonna has again become a Guinness World Record holder, the biggest-selling female recording artist. She first earned this title in 2009, according to the Guinness World Records website.
How many records has the singer sold?
The artist has sold over 400 million records during her 40-year career. This extraordinary success allowed her to surpass other globally known female singers such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey.
In July 2022, the Guinness World Records also declared Madonna the highest-grossing touring artist, earning over $1.3 billion during her tours.
Moreover, the singer recently kicked off her global tour called Celebration. The festive tour with 78 shows will conclude in April 2024.
Her first stop was in London, where she staged a sold-out show. Her other concerts during the world tour will take her from Europe to North America.
In London, Madonna took the stage with the Ukrainian flag and called for an end to the war. Madonna wrapped herself in the flag and held it with her hands, receiving applause and cheers from fans who expressed their support for the artist.
Afterward, the star raised her hand and exclaimed several times, "No fear!"
