Macron warns world against reducing aid to Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron warned the world against weakening support for Ukraine in its defense against Russia.
During a meeting with German President Frank Steinmeier in Berlin, Macron said that when talking about peace, one should understand that it is the ability of a country to defend its borders and sovereignty.
"Peace is not about giving up principles. Peace means enabling a country to defend its borders and its sovereignty," Macron said.
At the same time, Steinmeier emphasized that assistance to Ukraine should not be suspended.
Today, French President Emmanuel Macron left for a visit to Germany. This is the first trip to Germany by a French leader in 24 years.
During his visit, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that every month Russia loses 24,000 of its soldiers on the battlefield in Ukraine.
