Macron praises US attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites as successful

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the US attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites were effective, according to Bloomberg.
“The US strikes had a real impact on Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow,” Macron told reporters in Brussels after the EU leaders’ summit.
At the same time, he warned that the worst outcome would be Iran’s withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Such a move, he said, would ultimately lead to collective drift and weakening.
The French leader also emphasized that US President Donald Trump is actively insisting on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
“On Gaza, I felt that President Trump was very determined, very resolute, aware of the importance of a ceasefire, and I think his commitment is essential on this issue,” he said.
Macron added that he knows Trump’s team is engaged in ongoing discussions.
Earlier on Wednesday, the US president stated that, in his view, a deal regarding Gaza is very close.
What preceded this
On the night of June 22, the US struck three nuclear facilities in Iran. Following the attacks, Donald Trump repeatedly claimed that Iran’s nuclear program had been completely destroyed.
However, CNN and The New York Times reported that the US strikes did not fully destroy the three Iranian nuclear sites.
In response, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth criticized American media, accusing them of distorting facts on this issue.
Trump himself asserted that the Iranian regime did not manage to remove uranium enrichment centrifuges and other equipment from the Fordow facility before the strike.
Regarding Gaza, according to Israel Hayom, the war in the enclave is expected to end within two weeks. The condition for ending the conflict involves transferring control to four Arab countries, including Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
Additionally, under the plan, remaining Hamas members would be deported to third countries, and hostages would be released.
