Macron condemns Sumy attack: Russia picks war over Trump’s peace plans

Russia fired two missiles at the center of Sumy. The world must take decisive measures to force Russia to cease fire, according to the French president, Emmanuel Macron.
“This morning, two Russian missiles hit the very center of the city of Sumy in Ukraine, resulting in numerous civilian casualties, including children again,” Macron said.
He noted that everyone knows that only Russia wanted this war, and according to him, today it is clear that only Russia chooses to continue it.
“Contrary to human lives, international law and the diplomatic proposals of President (US President Donald - ed.) Trump. Decisive measures are needed to force Russia to cease fire,” the French president emphasized.
According to Macron, France is working tirelessly with its partners to achieve this goal.
“To the victims, to the wounded, to all of Ukraine who are resisting, we offer our solidarity, our respect, our commitment,” he added.
Missile attack on Sumy
Today, April 13, on Palm Sunday, the Russian occupiers launched a double missile attack on the center of Sumy.
The enemy's tactics during today's attack were similar to the recent shelling in Kryvyi Rih. According to local authorities, Russia again attacked with a missile with cluster munitions, and the enemy missile exploded over the city.
According to the latest reports, more than 30 people were killed in Sumy, including children. Dozens more people were injured, including 10 children.
