On the night of July 9, Lutsk experienced the largest drone and missile attack. As a result, fires broke out and there was damage, states the city’s mayor, Ihor Polishchuk.

“We have fires and damage to garages at one of the garage cooperatives, as well as a fire at one of the enterprises. The extent of other damage is still being determined,” Polishchuk said.

He also reported that, as of now, there is no information about any casualties.

“Our honor, respect, and gratitude go to the air defense forces. I will promptly inform you if any new information comes in. Over and out!” he summarized.

Attack on Lutsk

On the night of July 9, Russia launched massive drone and missile attacks across Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Kyiv and other cities, but the main target of the Russian forces was the western part of the country.

In particular, drones were repeatedly detected over Lutsk, air defense systems were active, and the city was struck several times by rockets.
