A military parade occurred today in Vilnius, the Lithuanian capital, to honor the 105th anniversary of the national army's establishment. The parade featured Lithuanian military personnel and NATO allies as participants, according to Lrt.

Approximately 1400 military personnel and over 100 pieces of military equipment participated in the parade.

The parade included Vilkas infantry fighting vehicles, PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers, Abrams tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, Paladin self-propelled howitzers, Bundeswehr Leopard tanks, Puma and Marder infantry fighting vehicles, among others, which were driven through Vilnius.

The Lithuanian Army Commander, General Valdemaras Rupšys, stressed that the military parade aims to signal to the enemies that they are strong and united, as is the NATO bloc, and to reassure the public of their safety.

NATO's Northeast Multinational Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Jürgen-Joachim von Sandrart, congratulated the Lithuanian Army on the 105th anniversary of its restoration and participated in the parade.

Lithuania's assistance to Ukraine

Lithuania is an ally of Ukraine, providing comprehensive assistance through the provision of military equipment, weapons, and training for the Ukrainian military. This support has continued since the early days of the full-scale invasion, with Lithuania recently delivering an additional package of military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On November 10, Lithuania declared that it would send Ukraine 2 launchers, necessary equipment, and off-road vehicles for the crew of the NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system.

Additionally, on November 17, Lithuania provided Ukraine with a new military aid package containing generators, field beds, and dry rations.
