Liberation of Crimea: Minister of Defense reveals plan to expel Russians
Ukraine is making preparations for 2024, aiming to permanently remove Russian terrorists from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, reported the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on the telethon.
As Umerov highlighted, Ukraine achieved success in the Black Sea despite not having an equally powerful fleet.
"We showed the whole world that we can achieve success, despite not having such a powerful fleet. We forced Russia to withdraw from the temporarily occupied Crimea. The developments we are preparing for 2024 will give us a strong chance to make them leave our Crimea forever," stated the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
Regarding what Ukraine considers a victory in the war, several rounds of talks with Russia were held at the start of the full-scale invasion but are currently "on hold." Kyiv insists that the country will not resume dialogue until Russian terrorists completely leave Ukrainian territory.
As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned earlier, deoccupying the Crimean peninsula may be easier than Donbas. It involves not only liberating territories but also the psychological return of people to Ukraine.
In November, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba reminded that Ukraine's strategic goal in the war with Russia is the complete restoration of territorial integrity, meaning a return to the borders of 1991.
