Leonid Radvinsky, a billionaire and owner of OnlyFans, has died at the age of 43, reports Bloomberg. He led the platform that became one of the most prominent phenomena of the digital industry.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer,” the London-based company said in a statement.
The company also asked to respect the family’s privacy.
Radvinsky acquired a controlling stake in OnlyFans in 2018 and turned the platform into a cultural phenomenon that changed the pornography industry. It allowed creators to receive payments directly from subscribers and became especially popular during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The platform, founded in 2016 by British father and son Guy and Tim Stokely, gained widespread recognition, spreading adult content. Although it later sought to attract a broader audience.
Since 2021, the businessman has received about $1.8 billion in dividends from the platform. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, as of May last year, his net worth was estimated at $3.8 billion. It was before OnlyFans reported in August that it had paid Radvinsky $700 million in dividends.
OnlyFans takes about a 20% commission on content and subscriptions. In 2024, the platform reported more than 4.6 million creators and about 377 million users, with revenue reaching $1.4 billion.
Background. Radvinsky was born in Odesa but moved to the United States as a child, where he later studied economics. He rarely appeared in public and rarely gave interviews.
In recent years, the businessman lived in Florida and supported charitable initiatives, particularly in medicine and animal protection.
