Background
Back in December of last year, The Times reported that Israel might initiate a ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
There are concerns within the country that Hezbollah militants might also invade Israel, similar to what Hamas did in October of last year. As part of the operation, the Israeli military likely aims to push the members of the terrorist group away from the border.
Israel's Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, has stated that Hezbollah's aggression against Israel could force the country to engage in military actions in Lebanon. The militants' attacks are escalating tensions.
