Kyiv under Russian night attack: Power outages and burning buildings reported

Russian forces attacked Kyiv with jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles overnight on September 30. As a result of the enemy shelling, power outages are being observed in the city, and damage and fires have been recorded.

What weapons Russia used
At approximately 02:47, a red alert level was declared in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine. Simultaneously, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a ballistic threat, after which missile launches were detected. Within minutes, a loud series of explosions rang out across the city.
In addition, both before and after the ballistic attack, Russian forces have been attacking Kyiv with jet-powered drones. Consequently, explosion sounds are heard in the city virtually every hour.
Consequences of the attack
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the Kyiv City Military Administration, consequences have currently been recorded in the Sviatoshynskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Obolonskyi districts.
Power outages were recorded in the city following the strikes. Meanwhile, several local channels reported that some districts, particularly on the left bank, allegedly have no electricity at all.

Private houses caught fire in this district as a result of the enemy strike.
Holosiivskyi District
A warehouse building caught fire here.
Obolonskyi district
A fire broke out in a store premises due to the enemy attack.
Casualties
It is currently known that one person was injured as a result of the attack.
"Currently, two people have been injured as a result of the enemy attack. One injured woman has been hospitalized by medics," Klitschko clarified.
Russian strikes on Kyiv
Overnight on September 29, Russian forces also attacked Kyiv with both drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the shelling, at least an educational institution and an administrative building were damaged.
From the evening of September 29 until the first half of September 30, there may be disruptions in public transport fare payments in the city. The cause is the aftermath of Russian attacks.
