Kyiv under drone attack: Russia targets capital, first impact details

Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kyiv during the night of July 21. The shelling has already caused initial damage, according to a Telegram post from Kyiv City Military Administration chief Tymur Tkachenko.
Around 1:33 a.m. Kyiv time, explosions were heard in Kyiv. In addition, the sounds of Shahed drones have been intermittently heard across the capital. So far, damage has been confirmed in the Darnytskyi district.
“In the Darnytskyi district, the roof of a non-residential building caught fire as a result of the attack. Details are being clarified,” Tkachenko wrote at 1:52 a.m.
Attack on Ukraine
Last night, the enemy launched a massive drone assault across Ukraine, with drones detected in multiple regions.
Additionally, the enemy deployed Tu-95MS strategic bombers, raising the threat of missile strikes. Monitoring channels report that cruise missile launches have likely already taken place.
Furthermore, a nationwide air raid alert was declared overnight as the enemy sent MiG-31K fighter jets into the sky.
