In the Kyiv region, large-scale fires broke out as a result of Russia's missile and drone terror. The State Emergency Service released footage from the impact sites, including areas where debris from downed targets had fallen, according to the Security Service of Ukraine on Telegram.

Rescuers reported that the fires had engulfed logistics and warehouse complexes, industrial facilities, commercial properties, and other infrastructure.

Emergency crews were deployed to the Fastiv and Bucha districts. In the former, a fire broke out at an enterprise in the village of Kalynivka following an enemy strike — it has since been extinguished.

In the Bucha district, fires erupted on the territory of logistics complexes as a result of the attack.

Rescuers are continuing to manage the aftermath of the enemy strikes. Information regarding fatalities, casualties, and other consequences of the attack is being confirmed.

Attack on Kyiv and the region on August 5

Russian forces once again attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles on the night of August 5. As a result of the enemy shelling, a loud series of explosions was heard in the city.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 24 people have been injured. Medics have hospitalized 15 of the wounded, with four victims reported to be in serious condition. One person has been killed, according to medical officials.

As for the Kyiv region — Russian troops used ballistic missiles and drones during the attack on the night of August 5. Four districts sustained damage.
