Kyiv, Lviv and Zaporizhzhia under massive Russian attack: Consequences revealed
This morning, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Ukraine, using Tu-95MS strategic aircraft. Ukrainian air defense managed to shoot down all enemy targets flying towards Kyiv, but there were hits in Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, near Myrhorod, and more.
Current situation
- Russia fired 26 missiles of various types at Ukraine: Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55, Kalibr, Iskander-M/KN-23, Kh-59, and S-300. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces managed to destroy 13 enemy targets.
- Poland deploys combat aircraft because of Russia's missile attack on Ukraine.
- Kyiv. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all missiles targeting the capital. There were no casualties or damage after the attack.
- Lviv. There were hits in the city. Over 10 missiles were fired at the region. The air defense system repelled the attack, but one hit to an infrastructure facility started a fire. A blast wave smashed some windows in 16 houses on Naukova Street in Lviv, damaging cars. There are wounded people.
- Zaporizhzhia. An infrastructure facility came under fire. There are victims. A house, an educational institution, and a commercial building were damaged.
- Poltava region. A warehouse in the Myrhorod district was hit, causing a fire in an area of 100 m².
- Dnipropetrovsk region. A civilian infrastructure facility is attacked.
- Khmelnytskyi region. Civilian facilities were damaged.
- In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a rocket hit, and falling debris caused a minor fire on the roofs of outbuildings. The fire has been extinguished.
What Russia attacked with
According to the Ukrainian Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 air-launched cruise missiles, Kalibr sea-launched missiles, Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, and Kh-59 guided missiles.
A total of 26 missiles of various types were launched:
- 12 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles from T-95ms strategic aircraft (Engels);
- 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (Voronezh);
- 2 Kalibr cruise missiles (Novorossiysk - Russia);
- 4 Kh-59 guided missiles (TOT of Zaporizhzhia region, Kursk region - Russian Federation);
- 2 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (Belgorod region - Russia).
The Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces destroyed 13 missiles of various types:
- 8 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles;
- 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile
- 2 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 2 Kh-59 guided missiles.
Poland deploys combat aircraft due to Russian missile attack on Ukraine
"We warn you that Polish and allied aircraft are involved, which may cause an increased noise level, especially in the southeastern part of the country," the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces reports.
Kyiv
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the latest missile attack on Ukraine was a combined one. In particular, the enemy sent missiles of various types to Kyiv. They came to the city from different directions.
The air alert in the capital lasted more than 2 hours. All enemy missiles flying towards Kyiv were destroyed by Ukrainian Air Defense Forces.
According to local authorities, there were no casualties or damage in the capital. The city's life support system is operating normally.
Kyiv region
Explosions were heard in the Kyiv region, and Air Defense Forces were working. Fragments of enemy missiles fell in two settlements in one of the region's districts.
There is information about damage to 7 private houses, several outbuildings, and a car.
Mayor of Bucha Anatolii Fedoruk says that five private houses were damaged as a result of the morning shelling in the Bucha community. The falling debris smashed windows and damaged the roof. There were no casualties.
He also shows a video of a crater that formed after a Russian missile hit the village of Buda-Babenetska in the Bucha community.
Lviv
Three people were injured in the Russian morning attack on Lviv. These are a man and a woman who live in houses on Naukova Street, which was damaged by the blast wave. They have cut wounds. They were treated on the spot. Another man with a hematoma was hospitalized.
Also on this street, the blast wave smashed some windows in 16 residential buildings and damaged cars that were parked nearby.
"During the morning attack, a rocket also hit the ground, not far from residential buildings on Naukova Street. The windows in five- and nine-story buildings where people live and the windows in the employment center were damaged," adds the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi.
According to preliminary information, Russians launched over 10 missiles on Lviv. The air defense system worked well on this attack, but there was still one hit to an infrastructure facility. A fire broke out there.
Later, Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi added that two schools and one kindergarten in the city were damaged in the attack. More than 400 windows were smashed. A total of 18 residential buildings were damaged.
Zaporizhzhia
In the morning, Russian troops also attacked Zaporizhzhia. An infrastructure facility came under fire. According to preliminary reports, four people were injured.
It is also known that apartment buildings, an educational institution, and a commercial building were damaged (windows were smashed and roofs were damaged).

Dnipropetrovsk region
The morning in the Dnipro region also began with explosions. Russian troops attacked civilian infrastructure.
"Thanks to the air defense forces for their work! We are checking all the information. Details will follow later," writes the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhii Lysak.
Updated at 9:23 a.m. Two missiles were shot down over the Dnipro region, but there were also hits, according to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Military Administration, in the morning air defense shot down two missiles over the region. They landed in Nikopol and Novomoskovsk districts.
"We also have "arrivals" in Dniprovskyi district. An infrastructure facility was damaged. The main thing is that no one was injured. The inspection of the territory continues," he wrote.
Khmelnytskyi region
In the Khmelnytskyi region, civilian objects were damaged as a result of a Russian massive strike in Ukraine.
First Deputy Head of the Military Administration Serhii Tiurin told Suspilne that two people were injured in the shelling. They are in moderate condition.
Ivano-Frankivsk region.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, rescuers extinguished a fire caused by the fall of rocket debris.
This morning, the fragments of an enemy missile fell in the Rohatyn district, causing a fire on the roof and roughage in an outbuilding.
Rescuers extinguished the fire. There were no casualties.

Russia's previous massive attack on Ukraine
As a reminder, the Russians launched a combined strike against Ukraine on February 7, using 64 attack UAVs, cruise, ballistic, and anti-aircraft guided missiles.
At that time, Russia attacked Kharkiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Drohobych (Lviv region). In particular, the attack on the capital killed five people.
