Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv: Russia attacks cities with drones, explosions heard

Russian forces are attacking several Ukrainian cities with strike drones. Explosions have been reported in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv, according to RBC-Ukraine, citing its correspondents as well as city and regional military administration officials.
Kyiv
In the capital, an explosion was heard at around 01:51 AM Kyiv time. An air raid alert had been declared in Kyiv and the region at 01:29, with drones reportedly approaching the city from the north.
"The capital is once again under attack by Russian UAVs. You may hear air defense in action. Stay in safe places until the all-clear is given!" said Kyiv City Military Administration head, Tymur Tkachenko.
Eyewitnesses reported partial power outages in the Vinogradar and Obolon districts, as well as in the village of Liutizh in the Kyiv region.
Kharkiv
The first explosions were heard in the city between 01:07 AM Kyiv time and 01:15 AM Kyiv time, with a second wave of attacks beginning closer to 02:00 AM Kyiv time.
Drone strikes were recorded in two districts of the city.
Zaporizhzhia
A series of explosions was also reported in the city, according to Suspilne and RBC-Ukraine’s correspondent.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov reported explosions in the region at 01:47 AM Kyiv time and again at 02:10 AM Kyiv time. According to him, air defense forces are actively responding.
Mykolaiv
An air raid alert was declared in the city and region at 00:42 AM Kyiv time.
At 00:51 AM Kyiv time, a ballistic missile threat from the south was reported.
According to Suspilne, a series of explosions was later heard in the city, first at 01:41 AM Kyiv time, then at 01:47 AM Kyiv time, and again at 01:53 AM Kyiv time.
At 02:21 AM Kyiv time, Mykolaiv Regional Governor Vitalii Kim stated that, at that moment, there were no reports of casualties in the city.
Russian drone attack
In the early hours of Sunday, July 6, Russian forces launched a kamikaze drone attack on Ukraine using Shahed drones.
Around 01:00 AM Kyiv time, a series of explosions was heard in Kharkiv, as Russian forces struck the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of the city.
Closer to 02:00 AM Kyiv time, more explosions were reported in Kharkiv as Russian forces launched a second strike on the Shevchenkivskyi district.
