Russian attack drones struck Kyiv on the evening of July 3. As a result of the destruction of one drone, debris fell onto a multi-story residential building in one of the capital’s districts, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Tkachenko wrote that air defense forces are working to eliminate threats to the capital. Some drones have already been shot down. Consequences were reported in the Obolonskyi district.

"Meanwhile, we are receiving reports of the aftermath of the attack. In the Obolonskyi district, preliminary information indicates a fire on the roof of a 16-story residential building," he wrote.

Klitschko confirmed the information, noting that emergency services are heading to the site of the debris fall.

"Medics were called to the Obolonskyi district. Preliminary reports say UAV debris fell on the roof of a residential building. Medical teams and rescue workers are on their way," the statement said.

As Tkachenko clarified, the information about a fire in the 16-story building was not confirmed.

According to Klitschko, in the Obolonskyi district, where medics and rescuers were dispatched, no casualties or building damage have been found so far.

Kyiv under attack again

Russian forces began targeting the capital while it was still daylight. In the evening, an air raid alert was issued due to an enemy drone. Shortly after, reports emerged that dozens of drones were heading toward the city. After a while, explosions were heard.

According to monitoring data, two drones were headed directly toward Kyiv, 15 were in the Kyiv region, and another 20 were heading towards the Kyiv region.
