Kuleba on U.S. elections: 'We will work with any next president'
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, stated that he is not concerned about the name of the next President of the United States. He emphasized that Ukraine would work with any American leader.
"I am not so much concerned about the name of the next President of the United States as about the state of American society and American politics the day after the elections. We will work with any next president, regardless of their name because we know that the U.S. will not deviate from its strategy towards Ukraine," emphasized Kuleba.
He explained that if there is a new president in the U.S., there may be attempts to adjust the policy towards Ukraine. However, Ukraine will not be left without support because it is in the interest of the United States.
According to Kuleba, routine democratic bureaucracy is currently taking place in Congress. Negotiations are needed to make decisions, and the commitment to democracy will ultimately prevail.
Trump may become President of U.S.
It is worth noting that the primary elections have started in the U.S., during which Republicans and Democrats will choose their candidates for the upcoming presidential elections.
Most likely, Donald Trump will be the Republican candidate, and Joe Biden will be the Democratic candidate.
The elections are scheduled for November 5 of this year.
According to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, if Trump wins the elections, there might be a different policy regarding Ukraine.
