Kremlin reacts to Trump’s claim of Putin conversation

The Kremlin could not confirm US President Donald Trump's statement about a conversation with dictator Vladimir Putin. At the same time, Moscow did not deny it either, according to the Russian dictator's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The Kremlin spokesperson noted that communications between Moscow and Washington occur through various channels.
"As the US administration develops its work in Washington, many different communications arise, and they take place through various channels. Of course, amid all these communications, I might not be aware of something personally. Therefore, in this case, I cannot confirm or deny it," said Peskov.
Trump spoke about a conversation with Putin
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump recently stated that he had already spoken with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to try to negotiate a ceasefire in the war in Ukraine.
According to him, Putin allegedly wants "people to stop dying" on the battlefield.
In addition, Trump mentioned that he has a specific plan to end the war in Ukraine. He also stated that he wants to make a $500 million deal with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for access to rare-earth minerals in exchange for security guarantees in a potential peace agreement.
It is worth adding that Trump, after his inauguration, mentioned he would like to meet with Putin. Moscow also stated it was supposedly open to contacts with the new US president.
