US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin do not plan to sign any documents following their meeting in Alaska on August 15, Sky News and TASS report, citing Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

"A document following the summit is not expected; nothing has been prepared. And it is unlikely that there will be any document,” Peskov said.

The Kremlin notes that it would be a big mistake to predict the results of high-level talks between Russia and the US.

“But, given that there will be a joint press conference, the president (Putin - ed.) will, of course, outline the range of agreements and understandings that he manages to achieve,” Putin's spokesman added.

Trump-Putin meeting

On Friday, August 15, US President Donald Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin will meet at the US military base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

During the talks, Trump hopes to reach an agreement with the Kremlin leader on a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump is not sure that he will be able to persuade Putin to stop attacking rear settlements and killings in Ukraine.

Trump also promised that he would not conclude any agreements with Putin without Ukraine's participation.

If the meeting in Alaska is successful, Trump is ready to hold a trilateral meeting with Putin and Zelenskyy. It may take place as early as the end of next week.
