During the night of July 21, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv. The city is experiencing multiple fires, and the first consequences of the strikes have already been reported, according to a Telegram post by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

Explosions in the city began around 1:36 a.m. Kyiv time and continued shortly after. According to the latest reports, there were initially 11 impacts recorded in Kharkiv, all reportedly in the Kyivskyi district.

First consequences of the attack

As of 1:43 a.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that there had already been four explosions and a large fire had broken out. Later, the head of the regional administration, Oleh Syniehubov, stated that multiple fires were burning across the city.

Later, Mayor Ihor Terekhov began providing updates on the first consequences of the enemy attack.

“One of the impact sites caused windows to be shattered in a residential complex, and damage to a road, tram tracks, and power lines. Information about any casualties is still being clarified,” he reported at 2:23 a.m.

A few minutes later, he reported another consequence of the attack — a fire broke out at a civilian enterprise.

As of now, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries.
