In June, Kharkiv recorded an absolute monthly record in the number of air attacks since the beginning of the full-scale war. The city was hit by missile strikes, drone attacks, and aerial bombs, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reports.

According to Terekhov, just in one month, 15 civilians were killed by the actions of Russian forces, none of them children. More than 150 people were injured, including 25 children.

The largest attack took place on June 7, when the enemy struck a large civilian enterprise specializing in the production of soft containers for agricultural products.

Due to the strikes, a massive fire broke out, lasting continuously for 12 days. The building's structures suffered severe collapse - virtually nothing remained but ruins.

During the firefighting, rescuers saved two employees, but the bodies of six people were found under the rubble.

The mayor emphasized that in terms of technical complexity, this attack was comparable to the earlier tragedy at the Epicentr warehouse.

Ihor Terekhov expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and thanked utility services, rescuers, doctors, volunteers, and entrepreneurs who are working to the limit of their capabilities.

The Mayor urged Kharkiv residents not to ignore air raid alerts, to take shelter in time, and to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Shelling of Kharkiv

Russians regularly attack Kharkiv with drones and sometimes use missiles for strikes.

For example, on the night of June 25, the enemy carried out at least seven strikes on the city with Shahed drones. Due to the attack, an uninhabited residential building was damaged and a fire broke out.
