One of the world's largest producers and exporters of sunflower oil, Kernel Holding S.A., has reported damage to a plant in western Ukraine due to a Russian drone attack. As a result, the facility's operations have been halted, citing a statement from the company that appeared on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The company noted that the fire caused by the attack has been extinguished.

"Fortunately, there were no casualties as a result of the attack," the statement said.

Kernel employees are currently assessing the extent of the damage. Ukraine's largest oilseed processing plant Starokostiantyniv Oil Extraction Plant, located in the Khmelnytskyi region, began operations in April this year.
