US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg has discussed Russia's war against Ukraine with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kellogg wrote on his X.

Kellogg reminded that the American delegation met with Lukashenko and his team in Minsk.

In particular, Deputy Special Envoy John Coale discussed bilateral relations between the United States and Belarus. As a result of the dialogue, it was agreed to release 14 political prisoners from six countries, including Japan and Poland.

"I discussed the RU-UKR War and how President Trump is pushing hard to stop the war and end the killing. President Trump continues to foster peace through strength," he added.

Kellogg's visit to Belarus

On June 21, US Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg visited Belarus and met with Alexander Lukashenko.

Later, The New York Times, citing its own sources, reported that during the meeting, Kellogg sought Lukashenko's support for a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.

The outlet clarified that Kellogg did not seek to pull Belarus away from Moscow.

The talks also included discussions on Belarus's relations with Russia and China.
