Kate Middleton, who announced in September this year that she had completed a course of chemotherapy, made her first public appearance in months at a social event with her husband, Prince William, and King Charles III.
According to the official Instagram post, the royal family members met with the Emir of Qatar, who had arrived in the UK for a two-day visit.
"Great to welcome the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani to the UK today," the post reads.
Also present in the photo was King Charles III, who is currently also battling cancer. His wife, Queen Consort Camilla, missed the event due to a chest infection.
Kate Middleton's outfit
For her outing, Middleton chose an outfit in the trendiest shade of 2024 — deep wine or burgundy. She wore a long coat with a V-shaped neckline and an original collar, paired with leather gloves and high-heeled boots.

Her monochrome look was completed with accessories: an elegant asymmetrical hat with a voluminous bow, a pearl choker necklace, and drop earrings that once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth. Notably, the Princess of Wales had worn these earrings at the funeral of Prince Philip in April 2021.
The look was finished with a small bag, also in burgundy.

For her makeup, Middleton chose a natural, nude-toned look, lightly accentuating her eyelashes and eyebrows. Her hairstyle was an elegant low bun.

Kate Middleton’s disease
In early 2024, it was revealed that Kate Middleton had undergone abdominal surgery. In March, she made an official announcement that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
Middleton did not specify the type of cancer, but she constantly expressed gratitude to her fans for their support and kind words from around the world.
In September, she shared an emotional video with her husband and children, announcing that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment.
It was later revealed that Middleton had returned to her royal duties. She met with members of the Early Childhood Development Center team and staff from Kensington Palace at Windsor Castle. The main topic of the event was Kate's project on early childhood development.
