Prince Christian of Denmark arranged an incredibly beautiful ceremony in honor of his coming of age, attended by almost all the members of the royal family. However, the Prince and Princess of Wales did not attend.

Prince Christian of Denmark celebrated his 18th birthday with great fanfare
It was one of the brightest events on this year's social calendar, with members of the royal family from across Europe gathering in Copenhagen to celebrate Prince Christian's coming of age.
Designer dresses, tiaras, white gloves, champagne, a military orchestra - everything was very glamorous and beautiful. After dinner, the entire royal family danced to the music of Danish rapper Benjamin Hav.
The grand concert at the castle was an opportunity for future kings and queens to meet each other, but senior members of the British royal family were notably absent.

This is not the first time that figures like King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince and Princess of Wales, the royal princess, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have been absent from celebrations held by the European royal family.
Why Kate Middleton and Prince William didn't attend Prince Christian's birthday
Former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Dickie Arbiter, told FEMAIL that the absence of British royal family members at European royal events was likely due to their busy schedules and the reduced monarchy.
However, it's unclear whether Kate and William and other high-ranking members of the British royal family were actually invited to Prince Christian's 18th birthday party.
Dickie noted that invitations for royal engagements were typically scheduled six to seven months in advance.
"Royal diaries are generally completed a good six to seven months in advance," said Dickie Arbiter.
