Kallas on Vance’s speech: It seems US is trying to pick a fight with Europe

The head of the European Union's diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, reacted to the speech of US Vice President J.D. Vance at the Munich Security Conference. According to her, the United States is “trying to pick a fight” with Europe, The Guardian reports.

Kallas added that the allies should focus on more serious threats, such as Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

On February 14, US Vice President J.D. Vance spoke at the 2025 Munich Security Conference. In his speech, he indirectly mentioned Ukraine, focusing mainly on criticizing European partners.
He stated that the Trump administration is concerned about European security. However, he claimed that Europe does not share common democratic values with the US.
