Voting on bills containing aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan will take place on Saturday, April 20, according to the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mike Johnson.

During his address to the House members, Johnson announced that today, the Rules Committee will release three bills related to funding for America's national security interests and its allies in Israel, the Indo-Pacific region, and Ukraine.

"These will be brought to the floor under a structured rule that will allow for an amendment process, alongside a fourth bill that includes the REPO Act, TikTok bill, sanctions, and other measures to confront Russia, China, and Iran, he added.

Johnson concluded by noting that the bill's final passage vote is expected Saturday evening.

Questions regarding U.S. aid to Ukraine

In February 2024, the U.S. Senate gave the green light to a bill to provide our country with $60 billion in aid. However, the document stalled in the House of Representatives due to discussions surrounding the U.S.-Mexico border wall. Johnson also suggested that the bill may include assistance to our country through a loan.

Four separate bills were introduced yesterday, April 16, including funding for aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
