Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially divorced

The court decision was made almost 20 weeks after Lopez filed for divorce on August 20.

According to TMZ, the artists have reached an agreement on financial issues related to the divorce: each keeps the property acquired individually during the marriage. For example, Affleck kept the money earned from his movie projects, as did Lopez.

In addition, Ben retained a stake in the production company Artists Equity. The former spouses also settled their dispute over their shared house. The terms of their agreement remain confidential. According to the publication, the estate is up for sale.

It is worth noting that the breakup between the actors began long before the official divorce: court documents indicate that the actual separation took place on April 26, 2024.

On the day of the filing, Jennifer went to the Los Angeles Superior Court without a lawyer. And later, it was reported that Lopez was “healing the divorce” with a relationship without obligations.

By the way, the celebrity still had hope that Ben would “come to his senses and change his mind” if she made another attempt.

The reason for the couple's divorce was the publicity of their relationship. According to the media, Lopez “could not control her husband, who was under stress, and he could not change her.”
