Israeli Air Force hits Houthi military sites in Yemen: IDF
On Sunday, September 29, the Israeli Air Force struck military facilities of the Houthis in Yemen. The targets were located 1,800 kilometers from the State of Israel, according to the official Telegram of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
During a large-scale air operation based on intelligence data, dozens of Israeli Air Force aircraft (fighters, refueling planes, and reconnaissance planes) struck military facilities of the Houthis. The attacks were carried out directly in the Ras Isa and Hudaydah areas of Yemen.
"The targets included power plants and a seaport used to import oil, which were used by the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer Iranian weapons to the region, in addition to military supplies and oil," the statement said.
According to the IDF, the strikes were conducted in response to recent Houthi attacks on the State of Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces stated that over the past year, the Houthis have operated under the guidance and funding of Iran, as well as in cooperation with Iraqi militias, "to attack the State of Israel, undermine regional stability, and disrupt global freedom of navigation."
"The IDF is determined to continue operating at any distance - near or far - against all threats to the citizens of the State of Israel," the statement added.
