Israel will increase the intensity of strikes on the territory of Iran. This is a response to Tehran’s shelling of Israeli cities, according to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on X.

"The cowardly Iranian dictator sits deep in a fortified bunker and fires precision strikes at hospitals and residential buildings in Israel," he wrote.

Katz called the shelling from Iran “the gravest category of war crimes.” The Israeli defense minister warned that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei will be held accountable.

"The prime minister (Benjamin Netanyahu – ed.) and I have instructed the Israel Defense Forces to increase the intensity of attacks on strategic targets in Iran and government targets in Tehran, to eliminate threats to the State of Israel and to undermine the ayatollahs’ regime," Katz emphasized.

Escalation between Israel and Iran

We remind that on the night of June 13, Israel launched an air attack on Iran. Nuclear and military sites were targeted. In Israel, they noted that the strike was necessary, as Tehran had the capability to produce nuclear bombs.

In addition, during the operation, Israel eliminated Iran’s top military leadership.

Tehran, in turn, responded with a strike the following night, June 14. Iran then launched over 150 rockets at Israel.

Israel and Iran continue to exchange strikes. Today, June 19, Tehran again carried out a missile strike on Israel. In particular, the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba came under fire.
