Israel greenlights sale of Arrow 3 missile defense system to Germany
Israel completed the sale procedure of the Arrow 3 exoatmospheric missile defense system to Germany, reports the Israeli Ministry of Defense on Twitter.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense's Director-General, Eyal Zamir, today, on November 23, signed a contract for the sale of the Arrow 3 missile defense system to Germany, valued at around $3.6 billion.
Consequently, the deal between Israel and Germany for the purchase of the Arrow 3 system has been finalized.
Germany is expected to commence the deployment of Arrow 3 on its territory in 2025.
Arrow 3
Arrow 3 is the pinnacle of Israel's layered missile defense, capable of intercepting airborne targets at altitudes exceeding 100 kilometers.
The system is designed to intercept ballistic missiles.
On October 31, it was revealed that Israel had used the Arrow 3 for the first time to intercept a missile launched from Yemeni territory.
