Israel eliminates another Hezbollah commander
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of another Hezbollah commander, Nabil Qaouk. He was killed in an air strike on the Lebanese capital, according to The Times of Israel.
Qaouk was the commander of Hezbollah's preventive security unit and a senior member of the group's central council.
He was considered close to Hezbollah's leadership and, according to the Israeli army, was directly involved in carrying out attacks against Israel, including in recent days.
Nabil Qaouk joined Hezbollah in the 1980s and served as deputy head and then head of the South Lebanon Executive Council, as well as deputy head of the executive council.
He was killed last night in airstrikes in the Dahieh neighborhood in southern Beirut, where Hezbollah's central headquarters is located.
Death of Hezbollah's leader
On September 27, the Israeli Defense Forces struck the Lebanese capital. It was reported Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Hezbollah group, was killed in the shelling of Beirut. Iranian media denied this information.
The next day, the IDF announced the elimination of leader Hassan Nasrallah. Later, Hezbollah confirmed the death of its leader.
