The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out a large-scale attack on the “Iranian terror regime infrastructure in Tehran” on the night of March 6.
“The IDF has begun a broad-scale wave of strikes against Iranian terror regime infrastructure in Tehran,” the statement said.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli army, Eyal Zamir, had also earlier stated that the country was moving to the next phase of the operation against Iran.
Israel and US operation against Iran
On February 28, Israel and the United States carried out powerful strikes on Iran, as a result of which Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was eliminated.
In response, the Iranian army began attacking both Israel and the territories of several Middle Eastern countries. American military bases and a consulate were under attack.
Yesterday, Israel said it was moving to the next stage of the war against Iran. Strikes on Iranian facilities will be intensified.
The Israeli army will focus airstrikes on underground storage sites where Tehran hides ballistic missiles.
