Tehran has officially announced the start of an unprecedented military response to the elimination of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, according to Al Jazeera.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is preparing a strike that, according to Iranian leadership statements, is intended to change the course of history in the Middle East.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued an extremely aggressive statement immediately after news of the ayatollah’s death was released. The regime’s military wing announced a large-scale retaliation, with targets expected to include not only Israeli facilities but also US military infrastructure throughout the region.
“This will be the most powerful offensive operation in the history of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We will not stop until the enemy is defeated,” the statement of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said.
Main targets defined by Tehran:
- US military bases in the region (particularly in Iraq and Syria).
- Strategic targets in Israel (referred to as the Zionist entity).
- Decision-making centers are responsible for the operation that eliminated the leader.
Statement by President Pezeshkian
President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, confirmed that the country rejects any attempts at diplomatic settlement at this stage. He called the killing of Ali Khamenei a grave crime that requires only a military response.
“We will make the Zionist criminals and the dishonorable Americans regret it. Our response will be so powerful that it will force the US and Tel Aviv to capitulate,” Pezeshkian emphasized, adding that Khamenei’s cause will be continued.
World awaits a major war
Sources from Al Jazeera report that Iranian missile units have already been placed on the highest combat readiness. Analysts fear that the offensive operation could include massive attacks using ballistic missiles and hundreds of kamikaze drones.
At the same time, the US and Israel have already strengthened their presence in the region, preparing to repel a possible attack. The world has found itself on the brink of a major military conflict, the scale of which could extend far beyond the Middle East.
Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, after the confirmation of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, called the event the beginning of a national celebration and the de facto end of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
