Iran confirms death of General who supplied drones to Russia Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Aerospace Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that its aerospace forces commander was killed along with several other officers in an Israeli airstrike on their command center, according to The Times of Israel.

"Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps aerospace force Major General Amirali Hajizadeh… along with a group of brave and dedicated fighters of this force, were martyred," the IRGC said in an official statement.

According to Andriy Kovalenko, head of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation, Hajizadeh was directly involved in the transfer of Shahed kamikaze drones to Russia.

Israeli strike on Iran

On the night of June 13, Israeli warplanes carried out a large-scale attack on Iranian military and nuclear facilities as part of Operation Lion's Leap. Among the targets hit was Iran's largest uranium enrichment site near Natanz.

Later, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it had gathered and analyzed substantial intelligence indicating that Iran had a concrete plan to destroy Israel.

According to reports, at least 20 high-ranking Iranian commanders were killed during the airstrikes.

The IDF also stated that more than 100 targets across Iranian territory were struck during the operation.

Additionally, the Israeli military confirmed the completion of a wide-scale campaign targeting Iran's missile infrastructure, claiming that dozens of military sites were destroyed in just a few hours.
