Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has revealed the first details about iOS 27. The main highlight is the introduction of “Undo” and “Redo” buttons for editing the Home Screen. In addition, the update will focus on system stability, improved battery life, and a major redesign of Siri’s features, according to The Mac Observer.

OS upgrade: undo buttons for the Home Screen

In iOS 27, Apple will add tools that make organizing the Home Screen easier:

  • Undo mistakes — the Home Screen settings menu will include “Undo” and “Redo” buttons. They will allow users to instantly return an app icon or widget to its previous position if it was moved by mistake.
  • Layout comparison — the new buttons will also allow users to quickly switch between different Home Screen layouts to choose the most convenient one.

Siri and system stability

According to sources, iOS 27 will be an update focused on quality rather than major design changes.

What users will get:

  • Optimization — Apple will focus on fixing bugs and improving performance on older devices. This should positively affect speed and battery life.
  • Siri update — the AI assistant will receive a new visual style (a glow effect) and will be able to handle more complex commands more effectively.
  • Liquid Glass — users will be able to adjust the transparency level of interface elements using a dedicated slider.

The official announcement of iOS 27 is expected at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.
