Instagram introduces significant paid innovation
Instagram is testing a new feed where posts from only those users who have been verified under previous standards will be visible. A new switch will appear located under the "Followers" and "Favorites" options after tapping the Instagram logo in the mobile app, according to the website The Verge, which focuses on computer technology and gadgets.
Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, has announced the testing of a new feature on the social network. This innovative switch will allow users to switch to a feed where only verified accounts are visible.
Mosseri emphasizes that they view this feature as a new content management tool and a promotional method for brands and creators. Importantly, the new feature will be available through a subscription, priced at $11.99 for the web version and $14.99 for the mobile app.

Users who plan to purchase this subscription must meet several criteria:
- Be over 18 years old.
- Have a profile with a full name and a primary photo with a person.
- Enable two-step authentication in the profile, which can be completed after payment.
- The profile must meet minimum activity conditions and have a certain posting history.
- The name and photo on the profile must match the data in the official ID.
At the moment, it is not reported how wide the testing of this new feature is or which users will have access to it. Mosseri called on all interested users to "let us know if you'd be interested in using this."
Meta, the company that owns Instagram and Facebook, introduced the Meta Verified program for its platforms earlier this year. It offers users of verified accounts a range of benefits, including a verification badge, enhanced support, additional stickers, and added protection from impersonation.
Previously, we reported that Instagram was launching a new feature that will appeal to everyone.
