India will participate in all important summits promoting the global agenda of peace, security, and development. This includes the G7 meeting and the Global Peace Summit next month, states Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.

According to him, India will "resonate the voice of the Global South" at these summits, aiming to shape global discourse and advance a vision of development oriented towards people, prosperity, and a peaceful world.

"The level of participation will be the factor of timing, logistics and parallel commitments," Modi said in response to a question about whether he will attend the two multilateral meetings.

The Prime Minister noted that invitations extended to India to participate in the summits recognize its significance and contribution to international affairs.

"These reflect the robust global engagement that we have in keeping with our philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family). India will be participating in all important summits that promote the agenda of global peace, security and development," he said.

It's worth noting that from June 13th to 15th, a G7 summit will take place in Italy, and on June 15th-16th, a Peace Summit on Ukraine will be held in Switzerland.

Peace Summit

The Global Peace Summit will take place in Switzerland from June 15th to 16th this year. It will be attended by countries seeking ways to resolve the war in Ukraine and bring it to an end. However, Russia has not been invited to participate in this event.

Not all countries have confirmed their participation yet. States loyal to Russia, in particular, are not rushing to make decisions. For example, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has decided not to participate in the Peace Summit on Ukraine.
