An unidentified man threatens an explosion at the Iranian consulate in Paris, France, according to L'Orient-Le Jour.

According to the agency, on Friday, April 19, at about 11:00 a.m. local time, an armed man entered the building of the Iranian consulate.

Paris police are already working at the scene. It is known that a "security perimeter" was established around the consulate and the movement of civilians was restricted.

Metro line 6 was also closed between La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle and Charles-de-Gaulle - Etoile stations.

According to L'Orient-Le Jour, the elite unit of the Paris police, the BRI, was involved. Also, a "witness saw a man carrying a grenade or an explosive vest."

French media reported that an unidentified man was detained. According to preliminary data, he was not carrying explosives.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on April 13, a man stabbed people in the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping center in Sydney. As a result of the attack, six people were killed. The perpetrator was shot dead by a police officer. According to police, he acted alone.
