Kursk operation of Ukrainian Armed Forces

Ukrainian troops launched offensive actions in the Kursk region over eight months ago - in early August 2024. Ukraine's Defense Forces took control of hundreds of settlements and established a buffer zone in Russia's border areas.

Russian forces are attempting to push the Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region. The enemy has involved North Korean troops in the battles.

In February-March, the situation in the Kursk zone escalated. Under pressure from enemy forces, Ukrainian troops withdrew from several settlements, including the city of Sudzha. However, fighting in the Kursk region continues.
