In Chernihiv region, police patrol and medics come under renewed strike

In the Chernihiv region, police patrol officers and medics came under renewed fire while assisting victims after a drone crash, according to Oleksii Biloshytskyi, first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department.
According to Oleksii Biloshytskyi, first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department, the incident occurred on the evening of September 19. At around 10:00 PM Kyiv time, patrol officers stationed nearby heard explosions.
When they arrived at the scene, they found an ambulance and medics assisting injured civilians. At that moment, the patrol officers came under renewed enemy shelling. The strike damaged police service vehicles as well as the ambulance.
Biloshytskyi noted that officers immediately blocked traffic on the road, while medics quickly hospitalized the victims under police escort.
Background
Earlier in the Chernihiv region, a Russian kamikaze drone struck a civilian car near a road, injuring the driver and two passengers. Police and medics who arrived to help those victims were themselves caught in the subsequent attack.
On the same night, September 19, Russian forces once again attempted to strike Kyiv with attack drones. According to city services, one strike damaged public transport infrastructure, disabling part of the trolleybus contact network.
That night, Pavlohrad also came under drone attack. Fires broke out in several districts of the city, with firefighters and emergency crews immediately deployed to contain the blazes and prevent further spread.
