IDF calls on residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate
The Israeli side has called for the evacuation of residents from border villages in southern Lebanon. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), civilians in several Lebanese towns are in proximity to Hezbollah militant positions, according to a post from IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee on Twitter (X) and the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
According to the Israeli newspaper, the Arabic-language Sky News network reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are urging residents of southern Lebanon's border areas to evacuate.
Haaretz also reports that Israeli forces fired flares over Sidon and Dahiya.
Meanwhile, IDF spokesperson for Arab media, Avichay Adraee, warned residents of Dahiya in Beirut - specifically in the neighborhoods of Al-Lilki, Harat Harikh, and Burj Al-Barajneh - that they should evacuate due to their proximity to Hezbollah positions, which are targets of the Israeli military.
“Urgent warning to the residents of the southern suburbs of Beirut. To all those present in the buildings specified in the specified maps and the buildings adjacent to them in the following neighborhoods: al-Lilki, Harat Harikh, and Burj al-Barajneh. You are located near interests and facilities belonging to the terrorist Hezbollah, and therefore the IDF will act against them forcefully,” he wrote in a post.
Adraee called on residents of the mentioned areas to immediately evacuate the buildings and move at least 500 meters away for their safety.

Israel's credible operation in Lebanon
Earlier reports from Western media on September 30 suggested that Israel might be preparing for an invasion of Lebanon as part of its conflict with Hezbollah.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Israel’s invasion could begin as soon as this week.
Meanwhile, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller confirmed that Israel had informed the US of a limited ground operation in Lebanon, though he provided no further details.
Israeli media note that any potential ground activity by the IDF in Lebanon is expected to be limited in scope and depth, to target Hezbollah infrastructure near the Israeli border.
Additionally, Israeli reports suggest that if a ground invasion occurs, Hezbollah may increase both the speed and range of its rocket launches.
This evening, Reuters and CNN reported that the Lebanese army was allegedly withdrawing from positions along the Israeli border, though this information has yet to be confirmed.
