'I know I’m not a young man'. Biden acknowledges weak performance in debates with Trump
US President Joe Biden has admitted that he performed poorly in today's election debate with Donald Trump. At the same time, the American leader noted that, despite his age, he knows how to "do this job", according to The Guardian.
“I know I’m not a young man, to the state the obvious. Well, I know I don’t walk as easy as I used to, I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to, I don’t debate as well as I used to, but I know what I do know. I know how to tell the truth,” Biden said.
He added that despite his age, he knows how to do the job of the American President.
"I know, like millions of Americans, I know, when you get knocked down, you get back up. Folks, I give you my word as a Biden, I would not be running again if I didn’t believe with all my heart and soul I can do this job. Because, quite frankly, the stakes are too high," noted the President.
Biden and Trump debate
Today, on June 28, the first of two debates before the US presidential elections between Joe Biden and Donald Trump took place in Georgia.
According to media reports, the majority of Americans believe that the current US President failed the debate and lost to his opponent.
After the debate, the US Democratic Party started talking about the possibility of replacing Biden with another candidate in the presidential elections.
However, Biden still intends to take part in the second debate with his Republican opponent, Donald Trump.
