Hungary's Orbán says Russia 'already won' despite weakness

Russia has allegedly already won the war against Ukraine, while at the same time being weak militarily and economically, believes Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, according to Harcosok Oraja.
"This war is already decided. The Russians have won. The only question is when and with whom they will make peace," Orbán said.
He added that Russia allegedly cannot harm Hungary, as it is weak militarily, economically, and demographically.
"We are stronger, but we behave as if we are weaker. If Russian drones cross Hungary's territory, we will simply shoot them down. We are not afraid," Orbán said.
Orbán's controversial statements
Earlier, Orbán said that even if a few Hungarian drones violated Ukraine's airspace, there is no problem with that.
He added that Ukraine is "not a sovereign and independent state," since Western countries finance it.
Orbán also called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to pay attention to events in the east of the country.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs later responded that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's claim that Ukraine is allegedly not sovereign reflects the influence of Russian propaganda.
The head of the Ukrainian MFA also stressed that he looks forward to Orbán's thoughts on state sovereignty "once he frees himself from dependence on Russian energy resources, as repeatedly urged by US President Donald Trump and European partners."
