Hungary has once again stopped receiving Russian oil after drone strikes targeted the Druzhba pipeline, according to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó.

"Overnight, we received the news that the Druzhba oil pipeline on the Russia-Belarus border was subjected to repeated attacks – for the third time in a short period. Crude oil supplies to Hungary have been halted again," he wrote.

Szijjártó claimed this was "another attack on Hungary’s energy security" and "another attempt to drag us into the war."

He promised to "continue supporting efforts to establish peace and defend national interests by all means."

Drone strike

Earlier, Commander of the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Robert Brovdi (known as Madyar) reported that drones had once again attacked the Unecha oil pumping station, which is part of the Druzhba pipeline system.

He also released a video showing the fire caused by the drone strike.

This week, Ukrainian drones also targeted the Nikolskoye oil pumping station in Russia’s Tambov region. In addition, drones hit the Unecha station, halting oil supplies to Hungary and Slovakia.

At that time, Szijjártó declared that Hungary was left without Russian oil and even threatened to halt electricity sales to Ukraine. However, oil pumping to Hungary and Slovakia was quickly restored after repairs.
