American singer Taylor Swift has topped the list of the richest women in the music industry. According to Forbes, her net worth has reached $2 billion, making it a record-high figure among all female musicians.
Record-breaking earnings
The significant growth of the artist's wealth is primarily linked to her massive Eras Tour, which became the highest-grossing concert tour in history. In addition, her recent music releases and re-recordings of earlier albums have also contributed to the increase in her fortune.
Forbes notes that in 2020, Taylor Swift began re-recording her old albums. This allowed her to regain control over her music and earn more from her songs. Her example has also inspired other artists to pay closer attention to the rights to their creative work.
The singer who became a billionaire
The artist achieved billionaire status in 2024 following the success of her world tour, which generated over $2.2 billion in revenue. She later used part of those earnings to buy back the rights to her original recordings.
By March 2026, her net worth had doubled to $2 billion, setting a historic record among female musicians.
In addition, a number of major milestones await the artist in the near future, which could further strengthen her leading position.
