The US presidential administration will highlight Donald Trump's achievements during the first 100 days of his presidency next week. Additionally, the president's priority goals for the next similar period will be outlined, Reuters informs.

White House representatives stated that in the next 100 days of his presidency, Trump will focus on trade agreements and peace negotiations.

It is expected that next week, Trump will travel to Michigan for a rally to mark his 100-day anniversary. The White House plans:

  • highlight his economic vision,
  • to talk about the "ejection of undocumented immigrants,"
  • to tell about changes in foreign policy,
  • highlight the work of the Government Efficiency Department led by billionaire Elon Musk to "purge the federal bureaucracy and cut what it sees as waste."

Celebrating these steps will become part of the broader victory narrative surrounding Trump's entry into his second term, which a US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, called "a conservative's fantasy" to Western journalists, writes Reuters.

Torpedoes in store

According to one US official, after a series of "loud" changes, including in social policy areas such as transgender rights, Trump has torpedoes in reserve. However, the official did not specify what exactly is meant by this.

The American official told Reuters that there are still many "torpedoes under the water" ahead. This could include more executive actions, which are "hallmarks of Trump's first 100 days" and will continue like a "snowball rolling downhill."

The US official also told Western media that the Trump administration is still working on a travel ban for citizens of several countries.

Focus on peace talks and trade deals

Another official told Reuters that in the next 100 days, Trump will focus more on trade agreements and peace negotiations.

This year, the US president initiated an all-out trade war with many countries before suspending reciprocal tariffs to allow negotiations with individual countries. His administration hopes to reach agreements within 90 days.

Next month, Trump will embark on an extended foreign trip, visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, and will continue to insist on ending the Russia-Ukraine war and achieving a peace deal between Kyiv and Moscow.

Trump promised to end Russia's war against Ukraine on the "day one" of his presidency, but peace has not yet been achieved. On Saturday, Trump acknowledged that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may not want to stop his war.

Trump's controversial reforms

Earlier, the American president introduced radical changes in several areas of US domestic and foreign policy after taking office on January 20.

The American leader upended the global economic order with his tariffs, reduced the federal government by cutting jobs, and "ended" diversity programs in both the public and private sectors.

Additionally, Trump has also attacked scientific circles, law firms, and courts in the United States.

Critics of the US president's actions say he has "trampled on the rights of citizens and non-citizens, alienated allies and threatened US supremacy in the world," according to Reuters.

Trump also stopped funding universities for what his administration considers a tolerant attitude toward anti-Semitic behavior.

The White House chief also "cut back" transgender rights, reduced diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs in the federal government and federal contractors. As Western media note, this had a broad impact on American society.

It was previously reported that on the 100th day of his presidency, Donald Trump faced the lowest approval rating among recent US presidents. His rating is even lower than it was eight years ago.

Additionally, it was recently revealed that Trump’s public approval rating in the US has dropped to its lowest level since his second presidential term. Americans, in particular, are showing concern over the president's attempts to expand his power.
