Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has closed his training camp ahead of the fight for the undisputed heavyweight world title against Britain's Tyson Fury, according to the athlete's personal Instagram.

The Usyk-Fury fight is scheduled to take place on May 18 in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh. The boxers will step into the ring at the local Kingdom Arena. Both the Ukrainian and the Briton hold all the major belts - WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, and WBC.

"The hard work is done," Usyk wrote on social media, adding a photo in the ring after what appears to be a final intense training session.

After two postponed dates for the unified bout, the Ukrainian's training camp began in March. Usyk prepared for the fight against Fury in Spain, where the champion achieved optimal condition and sparred with boxers similar in size to the Gypsy King.

What is known about the Usyk - Fury fight

The promoter of the Ukrainian boxer, Oleksandr Krasyuk, doubts the holding of a second match with the Briton. In his opinion, Fury will not dare to have another fight against Usyk after the defeat. However, the fight could be canceled even after a victory.

The organizers of the match hedged their bets and found a replacement in case of a new refusal by the Briton. Usyk will enter the ring on May 18 in any case. In the event of such a development, his opponent will be the mandatory IBF title contender, Filip Hrgovic from Croatia.
